Students should NOT buy equipment or clothing for the course before this workshop.  Examples of all gear will be on display & explained here. The Navigation Field Trip in March is the first time outdoor gear is needed all day, although the 1/2 day in-town FT could be a good test session.

[Mid-March - Navigation Workshops -  Attend either session -
unless you already have the Basic Navigation card. ]

The Navigation Workshop is an activity within a separate program---the Navigation Course---and is described here briefly as a courtesy to scrambling students. For more information and other dates, see the Navigation web site.
This is entered here since you must have your Navigation card to continue with the Scrambling Course and this is the LAST opportunity !

March - #2 - Snow Travel -   Includes Avalanche Awareness & Ice Axe usage etc.
EASTSIDE probably in April

April 26 - #3 - Rock -  Rock scrambling techniques etc.
