This page from now on will list only the three standard hikes repeated every month (except December). Information on additional hikes will be available by email reminders from chairperson Storm Yanicks (206) 232-8096 or sYanicks@earthlink.net. Be sure to get on her email list so you get these.
2nd Tuesday of each month - Monthly Meeting at the Program Center Meet at 12 pm. Includes time for a brown-bag lunch and conversation with other members, occasionally a program, and discussions of additional hikes proposed for the coming months. Depending on the weather, we will hike trails in Magnuson Park or the Burke-Gilman Trail after the meeting. Leader: Storm Yanicks (206) 232-8096.
In the month of December, the only hike or meeting is the 2nd Tuesday at 12 noon, and is a potluck lunch, so please bring a dish to serve.
In July the meeting will traditionally be at one of the local parks. Be on the emailing list to get details on this.
3rd Tuesday each month (except December) - Geenlake Walk-Around. Meet at 10:30 a.m. on path by Greenlake Community Center, 7201 E. Greenlake Dr. N. near Ravenna Ave. We'll walk counter-clockwise--if you're late, find us by walking clockwise. Afterwards, we'll have coffee nearby, so bring lunch/or buy. For information or in case of terrible weather, call leader, June Skidmore: 206-524-7371. No sign-up required.
Last Thursday each month (except December) - Seward Park - (E) 3 miles. Meet at 10:00 am at the Audubon/Environmental Center near the entrance to Seward Park. Leader's choice may be around the island, or over the top of the island through old-growth timber. Bring a bag lunch and drink and we will picnic along the way.
