In August, I boarded the P.S. Express out of Port Angeles to look for Orcas in the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The captain slowed our engine for a whale pod and this female and her baby swam right in front of us. I was trying out my new Canon IS lens and missed the baby (it’s hidden by the waves) but just seeing it was a treat.
