Seattle Photography Committee

The Photography Committee encourages members to develop their photographic skills and creative visions through various activities and programs offered throughout the year.

Leadership

To the right, you will see people to contact within the Photography Committee. If you click on their name (on the right), it will open a pop-up with contact information.

Below is a list of the roles these individuals have in the committee.

Interested in becoming a trip leader? Take this short eLearning course to find out the basics of what it takes. Once complete, contact the committee chair.

Nature First Principles of Photography

In line with the core values of The Mountaineers, our committee commits to recreate responsibly during our courses and field trips. We will also help educate others in these principles

Nature First Principles:

  • Prioritize the well-being of nature over photography
  • Educate yourself about the places you photograph
  • Reflect on the possible impact of your actions
  • Use discretion if sharing locations
  • Know and follow rules and regulations
  • Always follow the Leave No Trace Principles
  • Actively promote and educate others about these principles
