Navigation Cards are issued within a month or two of the each field trip


When you get your navigation card, hold on to it, as it is valuable to you.

Many courses and some leadership applications require you to submit proof of currency in navigation. When requested, you should make a photocopy of your navigation card, and submit the photocopy of the card as proof of successful completion of the basic navigation course (note the expiry date on the card). You will be issued a card after successful completion of the course, or upon teaching one workshop and one field trip in the same year.

 
Navigation Card replacement
 

From time-to-time, students or instructors lose their navigation cards. These will be replaced upon request (though we certainly would prefer that you take care of the one you are originally issued), with a .PDF image of the card. To request a replacement card, send an email to the address below. Be sure to include your full name and address, as well as a telephone number where you can be reached. The volunteer who produces your card has extra work to do because you lost the original ... so please be patient and considerate, as replacing your card shouldn't really have been necessary at all. Typically, you will get your nav card by return email within a few days.
