Understanding UTM

We have provided two .PDF files which explain UTM coordinates, one is a one-page doc (112 Kb), the other is a multipage doc (2.6 MB). Obviously, the bigger doc is more complete, while the small one is a summary. Start with the small one, but consider reading both:
