| GPS workshop GPS workshop for new users - next courses will be on 7-Jan-2008 an 3-Jun-2008. Course takes place from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Mountaineers Building. This is a workshop intended for Mountaineers who have recently obtained a GPS receiver (or are thinking about getting one) and would like to learn to use it effectively. A part of the workshop will be outdoor practice exercises in the vicinity of the clubhouse. Registrants for the course must bring a GPS receiver with them. Be sure to indicate your brand and model of GPS when you register for the course. There are a limited number of loaner GPS devices for students who don't have their own and are unable to borrow one. Either way, please send email to Mountainnav@earthlink.net identifying the the brand and model of the GPS unit you plan to bring to the course. If you don't have access to a GPS device, you can to reserve one of the loaner GPS units (first come, first served - numbers are very limited), via email to the same address.
