If you would like to carpool (either as rider or driver), let the clubhouse know when you sign up for a trip. The clubhouse staff cannot guarantee a carpool match, but they do their best.

Then, the Friday before the trip, call the clubhouse (206-284-8484) between 1-6:30 p.m. for the name and phone number of your driver or your rider(s).

Contact your driver or your riders as soon as possible to arrange a meeting time and place. Drivers and riders may not be from the same neighborhood. As a rider, you should not expect to be picked up at your home. Park & Rides make good meeting locations.

Carpooling on Mountaineer Sea Kayaking trips is somewhat more complicated due to the additional responsibility to transport our kayaks, so you should expect to spend a little more time at the meeting place when carpooling.

It is Mountaineers policy that each rider pay the driver eight cents per mile plus a share of any park entry fees, ferry fares, etc.
