Climbing provides the exhilaration and adventure of reaching the highest summits. The Mountaineers Seattle Branch offers basic and intermediate climbing courses that teach general mountaineering skills, and much more. We also offer specialized courses in such areas as crag rock climbing, waterfall and mixed ice climbing, aid & big wall climbing, Denali expedition planning, and small party self-rescue, all taught by experienced volunteer climbers. Our courses require you to participate on scheduled climbs in order to graduate. Hundreds of climbs at all levels of difficulty are available each year for students and graduates.
