Basic Refresher Course

This course provides a review of basic climbing skills and provides an opportunity to learn the latest methods for skills such as belaying and crevasse rescue, as taught in the Seattle climbing courses.   Sessions are relaxed, with equal emphasis placed on having an enjoyable time as on upgrading students' skills.

There is no official evaluation, and students can do as much or as little as they wish.  Completion or non-completion of the course does not change one's eligibility to climb with the Mountaineers.

Most instructors are graduates of the Intermediate Climbing course, and  better than 50% are climb leaders.
