Logging in for first time users
If you've never logged on at our site before, you'll need to know your member ID to get started. This number is six digits long and can be found 1)on the membership card sent with your Welcome packet, 2) on your renewal notice, above your name, or 3) above your name and address info on the monthly magazine. If you have none of these, please contact Member Services.
If you have your member ID, that will be your default username. Your password is made up of your initials plus your member ID.
EXAMPLE: Martin Mountaineer, Member ID: 123456
Username: 123456
Password: MM123456

I can't log in
There are a number of reasons why you might not be able to log in to our site. You may wish to verify that you have the right Member ID, if you haven't already changed your login info.
Another reason could be due to using a firewall. Our site works with most firewalls, both business and personal, but occasionally the firewall prevents our site from working properly.
In order for our site to work, you need to have cookies enabled in your browser. Our site will place a temporary file on your computer so that it can keep you logged in as you navigate the various pages. To learn how your browser handles cookie settings, check its help menu. Also, you might wish to add www.mountaineers.org to your list of approved or trusted sites.
