Some Mountaineers live for the winter, dreaming of snow throughout the other seasons. Whether your gear consists of cross-country skis, telemark skis or snowboards, The Mountaineers takes you into the powder. Our courses cover a wide variety of basic instruction and supplemental skills-building. Topics include winter mountain weather, avalanche safety and glacier travel. Use the "Search Now" buttons above to find these supplementary classes.

Our cross-country ski trips are open to all members. However, an avalanche course (or equivalency) is required to be able to participate in "Mountain" level ski offerings. Those who wish to explore the backcountry away from the lifts may want to consider taking our backcountry ski mountaineering courses.
