The publishing arm of club, The Mountaineers Books is one of the largest publishers of outdoor literature in the country. Hiking Guides, how-to, narratives and more.

Naturalist activities may be limited in the winter months.
The Naturalists are folks who love to explore and examine the wealth of plants, animals, and geology that grace Northwest trails and backcountry. From the birds in the sky to the fungus on the ground, Naturalists study them all. While most activities see these things as window dressings for their own adventures, Naturalists see these as the reasons for their adventures.

If you have any interest in learning more about the living things (and geology) that surrounds you out in the wilderness, consider spending some time with the Naturalists. The course "Introduction to the Natural World," offered every spring, is a great place to start. Or just join them for a hike. Either way, you are sure to discover something new about the natural world around you.
