The Mountaineers Library subscribes to a large number of diverse outdoor-oriented periodicals including some from Australia, Canada and the UK. In addition to the current issues, some of the bound periodicals go back for over 100 years to the 19th century, e.g. The Alpine Journal, Appalachia, Mazama. The most recent issue of all periodicals and the bound volumes are for reference and can only be used in the Library. Selected non-bound back issues are available for check out by Club members for 14 days. Some outdoor periodicals have an online index available; see Helpful Links.
