We offer an outstanding collection of books, periodicals, videos, and club records. Our historic and current sources of information focus on outdoor recreation including rock, snow, water and mountaineering sports. There is also an emphasis on conservation, human and natural history. You will find it a rich resource for trip planning, skills improvement (including "how to" information), and historical research. Access to library materials is available to Mountaineers and non-members during posted time periods. Members may check out books, newsletters, magazines, DVDs, and videos, except those items considered to be irreplaceable. Non-members are welcome to use the library resources for research. The library is managed by a part-time, professional librarian and many volunteers. New volunteers are always welcome. The Mountaineers library is located at the Mountaineers club headquarters, on the first floor, to the left of the hallway entrance to the bookstore. Hours (September - May) Tuesday – Thursday 5:00-9:00 p.m. Summer Hours (June – August) Tuesday & Thursday 5:00-8:30 p.m. Librarian Hours From September to May the Librarian is available on Monday, 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. From June to August the Librarian is available Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Kathleen McCluskey, Mountaineers Librarian, is available 20 hours a week to assist all patrons.
