FAQ
Think of the questions your customers ask most frequently and write them here along with the answers.
Q: Do I have to belong to the Mountaineers to stay at the Lodge?
A: Nope - but after one stay you'll want to join to get the reduced rates!
Q: What do I need to bring?
A: Along with your ski/boarding gear, you'll need to bring a sleeping bag, towel and any other personal ammenities. We do not have a washer and dryer so extra clothes are good.
A: Kids over 5 are allowed unless special exceptions are given by the Lodge Chairman. We do ask that you take your kids home at the end of the weekend.
A: The Lodge is indeed heated but that does not compensate for the lack of insulation in the dorms. Be prepared to sleep with a hat on as it can get a little chilly upstairs!
Q: What about the meals? I have special dietary needs. A: The meals are prepared family-style by your loving Lodge staff. Great care is given in determining the menu and fresh supplies are sledded to the lodge every week. Your dinner could be homemade lasagna, meatloaf, pork roast, chicken and artichoke hearts, or even pizza! Saturday breakfasts are more casual with pastries and fruit while Sunday you can count on some form of a smoked meat! As always, oatmeal is at every breakfast. Special dietary needs should be communicated upon registration and the cook, uh - CHEF, will do everything possible to accomodate.
Q: We're on our honeymoon. A: Congratulations! The Lodge might not be the right fit for this special and intimate time. You'll find more private accomodations in Leavenworth.
Q: Can I reserve a particular bunk?
A: Sorry - you select your bunk when you arrive and all the bunks are on a first-come first-serve basis.
